THANKFULNESS.
FROM BIOCHEMICAL PROCESSES
AND EGOISM, EDUCATION AND INGRATITUDE.

OF GOOD PARENTING AND SELFISHNESS.
Yes, it's nice when someone thanks you. For a gift, a gesture, or just because.
How often do you expect gratitude from OTHERS?
Are you disappointed when you encounter INgratitude ?
If you are "thanked", the following is known to happen: The "thanked" person gets a stroked ego. The ego feels good. Usually for a brief moment. Because then the effect fizzles out again.
And then?
You often long for a THANK YOU again. Or hang on to a perceived UNTHANKFULNESS. Because that somehow stays longer in your memory...
But someone will say THANK YOU again. And then you'll be "fine" again.

The gratitude paradox
What people (often) don't think about:
THANKFULNESS is primarily healthy for those who are grateful.
Fascinating biochemical processes take place in the "grateful" person that have a very positive effect on their own mental and physical well-being in the long term (remember: energy field, soul, body = all interdependent)[1].
